Hi. The Link has broken. I know this is 10 years old but do you have a new link to the project?
Thanks.
Nice and eazy , thnx =)
After years..is this still valid? Should I learn this or start from elsewhere?
as per industry standard its completely useless
Man this is one of the few tutorials that still holds true after 10 years. Perfectly presented and to the point.
I make shader in unity 2022, Visual studio. But after fisrt step (i named my shader and save) then the shader appears in Not Support when i choose it from my material? how can i fix it?
why doesnt it work with rigidbody2d
The best one !
It was good up until you mentioned Blender and then I turn off LOL.
What u mean? Blender can achieve the same level of quality that you get in Maya or 3ds max
@@ChillieGaming Hate the interface. I mean lack of interface. Been using Max for 20 years. Tried blender a few times, but hated it every time.
@@TheTimeProphet Its kinda weird you know why? Most blenders users tried 3ds max and maya and didn't bother to touch it again due to how awful and outdated the UI looks. And same goes to 3ds max and maya users who touched blender and never touched it again 😂 I mean use whatever 3d app suites you the best. Blender has got changes to its overall design and UI and there is even an option in blender to make the UI similar to Maya.
@@ChillieGaming I don't much care for Maya either. I am doing fine with 3ds Max. I won't be switching anytime soon.
Unity's UI keeps changing with the weather and none of this is valid anymore. The buttons have all gone or been moved.
At 11:22 you do the geometry paint using an add on, does anyone have any idea if there is something similar for blender?
and if you have several cubes?
How can I do a method to dynamicly find the origin in clicking on a cube?
Hi beautiful tutorial. how do you make if you want to draw a line between cubes?
Bro you're legend I have more than 50+ cars in my scene and all of them need to emit head lights so I spent 2 hours to add point light and spot lights to all the cars and output is not what I expected. Games was laggy and I got less than 10fps. After seacrching for some more hours I found this fake lighting Idea. Thank you bro will try it.
Exactly what I was looking for, thanks!
This is a superb tutorial. So well broken down, so well explained. Concepts revealed at perfect pace. Brilliant.
Rip channel
*Thank you so much for this awesome tutorial i’ve been looking for long time for a simple creation of hair card without complexity*
mobile input ?
Muy buen video, disculpa como se hace el material laser? Gracias
Finally a clear video on this, thank you, very helpful!
Great tutorial, many thanks. A warning about these variables. 'Counter' and 'dist' are not comparable because counter is a unit interval and distance not. It should be 'if (counter < 1f)'
you are my hero, thanks so much for catching that
For anyone struggling with this, make sure your "lineRenderer.SetPosition(0, new Vector3(0,hit.distance,0));" have the first one set to 0 and the other ones in the vector 3 take the rotation of the parent into account. Also if the laser is stopping short of whatever it hits, it is because the scale of the object containing the line renderer (or it's parent) isn't set to 1,1,1. Hope this helps!
Seeing the line settings would have been great bud, otherwise great tutorial and very helpful!
I just wanted to thank you in advance for creating this wonderful video. I am planning my final major project for my university degree and wasn't sure how best to create a modular environment, now I feel more confident than ever to go forth with the project! Thank you again!
Where can I download the blank head model? Thanks in advance.
Hahaaa nice game l want play this game
like... im stupid lol
Marvelous :))))
Since this playlist is over a decade old, and Unity has since dropped Cg for HLSL is this still relevant?
The dot product of a vector with itself is the vector's length squared; since v \dot v = |v||v|cos(0)-it's the cosine that's one; which is probably why they want you to do that with localCoords. I imagine it's more efficient. Also, is normalizing a cross product of two normals necessary? Shouldn't it already be of length one? Beyond that, thank you for the series; most shader tutorials stop short of doing anything complicated with bump maps.
Good tutorial. Although, you should cache transform (getting it every frame is an overhead) as well as not to create Vectors and RaycastHit every frame, since it would lead to garbage and GC would have to clean it up from time to time.
Could you please elaborate on how to achieve this? Not sure how to handle the vectors in the provided code.
Thank you for the video. How can i make a Curve and not a line?
Good ! Thanks
Thank so much sir <3
its 2021, this is still very helpful, thanks a lot!
Thank you so Much
It has been 8 years... Still best tut on the subject at the youtube, thanks!
If anyone has a problem with rim, replace the line "float _RimColor" with "float3 _RimColor"
Video starts at around 9:30 .... Umm... you know you basically like actually kinda say "kinda" like kinda a lot you know?
Wheres The Brush?
this video has been like a key to a massive door I was about to have in my progression in Unity shaders, and this series is going to be like a boost pad for me, thanks a lot!
the blender error is caused by the x,y,z axes being mapped different. y is up in unity, and i think y is forward in blender. you'll have to double check
for a tutorial, you are all over the place and getting lost in the weeds my brotha. Just clean steps are all we need. 1. What to do first. 2.What to do next. 3. How it looks when you push play.
is this possible with a flash light?
I need to know how I can do this in godot
on point tutorial
Really useful
